The ABRAXAS Series Books 1-3

Cinsearae Santiago has done a magnificent job at detailing a vampire’s life and the definitions involved in a vampire story.  “The ABRAXAS Series Books 1-3” is very detailed and has great imagination put into the various descriptions of situations throughout the novel.  This is not your typical vampire story as it includes a former girlfriend and a child born out of wedlock that died at birth.  The death was to be deferred by Natasha by creating a Necromancer (a zombie boy) for herself in denying her son’s death. Santiago grips you from the beginning with no names she described a feature-length situation creating Christine as Lady ABRAXAS and how she came about.

Right away there is a sexually explicit scene commonly found in vampire novels.  Lord ABRAXAS comes on strong to Christine Vargas as he believes her and feels that she is his “lady”.

Dartanian and Diane wreak havoc on this relationship. Battles unforeseen come about through their own devices.  They are defined as brother and sister and their bond is strong in their convictions.  The author has done a fine job of laying out these stories.

MY FINAL WORD AS A REVIEWER:

Gripping! Compelling! “The ABRAXAS Series Books 1-3” is an a-typical vampire story but not so a-typical with some of the points being human-like problems such as an ex-girlfriend with a child born out of wedlock that has been re-created as a Necromancer (zombie boy) because the boy had died at birth.  Natasha, Christine, Ryan, Dartanian, Diane and all the other characters seem to jump off the page in the action packed scenes provided by Santiago right from the beginning.  You really won’t want to stop reading this while its edge-of-the-seat tale unfolds.  Sexually explicit at times, these scenes were breathtaking and well done.  Vampire followers should follow ABRAXAS in its eternity of life and life-situations.

review for Salvation Bride

Salvation Bride written by Anna Kathryn Lanier was a delight to read. Predictable as it was, I still found myself hoping that love would prevail and Sheriff Slade would put aside his stubbornness and just tell Laura how he felt. The twists and turns Ms. Lanier put her characters through were believable and I found myself smiling and happy at the end.




Ms. Lanier is a gifted writer with characters that make you laugh, cry and even make you angry. I, for one, will look for more books written by Ms. Lanier, so, grab a cup and sit a spell with Salvation Bride, this reviewer guarantees you won’t be disappointed.

Review for The battle to Save My Daughter's Life

The Battle To Save My Daughter’s Life by Loretta Ramey is the story of a mother’s struggle to save her daughter’s life both spiritually and physically. While I don’t personally agree with the author’s theology that her daughter has cancer because she was “sinning” the book is well written and could offer help to those that are suffering with similar problems. Just because I don’t agree with the theology it doesn’t mean that anyone interested in the battle of cancer and the battle with believing in their religion won’t enjoy it much better.

Review for Hidden Passages

Hidden Passages by Vila Spiderhawk is a set of small stories about a woman’s milestones in life. For example: birth, child, parent and death. The author pulls you into the storyline with great depth. For instance, you can imagine and almost smell the herbs. You can also feel the character thoughts and feeling in the last short story as she goes through birth to death. It was not what I normally like to read, however, I still love the way the author writes and look forward to reading more books by this author. I would recommend this book to my friends and family.

Review for Living the Dream

In Tim Baker’s Living the Dream, Kurt thinks that a woman named Vicky is the cause of his entire problem so he hatches this plot to kidnap her and have her husband, Jimmy, pay the ransom. Except after he gets to Florida he finds his intended victim is away and that her husband wouldn’t pay the ransom, as he wants to divorce her. Jimmy’s mistress, Leslie, wants a piece of Kurt’s action. Kurt never knew a simple kidnapping would be so much work.




This reviewer liked the ending of the book however the beginning and the middle were a little dry for me. I loved the scenes with Kurt and Leslie where she would tell Kurt he didn’t know what he was doing. Over all it was a good book to read.

Review for Children of the Mist

Hywela Lyn creates a very vivid and wonderful world in Children of the Mist. Her characters have depth beyond any I have seen in a science fiction novel. She has the ability to give them souls in the literary sense, which is a rare talent. The extensive descriptions of the world she has created forms in the mind almost like the memory of a place once visited.

I enjoyed this story and felt as if it carried me along from beginning to end. There was no effort in trying to understand the plot and I found it to be a bit of a mystery as well. It was a journey well worth taking and I highly recommend this book as one of the best I have ever read.

I look forward to reading more books by this author.
